Positive: If you're going into Modica by car, Torre Rodosta is a great place to stay for relaxation and the experience of being in a medieval castle, and it's just a short drive to the city centre. Parking is very easy and cheap in Modica, so there's no issue with driving to town for a cappuccino and brioche, dinner, and sightseeing. (Use "parchimetro" machines or the phone app.) The apartment is spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped for a longer stay. There is ample parking onsite and wifi connection is good. The grounds are beautiful with a lovely garden and chapel. Host Alexandra, Baroness Manenti, goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. She is descended from a long line of a Lombardy barony. The residence is very secure, and someone is always onsite, either Alexandra or her brother Roberto. Modica itself is worth the visit - besides the baroque architecture, it has some of the best dining in Sicily, the friendliest people, and the famous Modica chocolate made in the Aztec style.
